At BLCC we carry out a range of activities to enhance the children's learning.
Below are a few examples.
The children had an educational visit to the museum in Manchester. The children experienced fantastic exhibitions and wrote about the visit. More visits are planned in the future!
The children enjoyed making their own solar system, they used different sized polystytrene balls and painted them according to the colour of each planet. They also carried out research and wrote about the planets, discussing the closest and furthest planet to the sun.
The children learnt the importance of 5th November (Rememberance Day) and discussed what it would be like to be part of the war in that time, and wrote letters to their family. They utilised their creative skills and used tea bags and coffee stains to create an aged effect.
The children enjoyed watching a movie on a projector and had fun eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate during a planned holiday treat time.
